OUR STORY
Development Education for Rural Mass (DERMA) was established in 1988. A group of motivated youths in Thiruvarangulam began by assisting the rural poor, helping them draft petitions to government authorities regarding their issues and providing tutoring for underprivileged children in the evenings. Gradually, DERMA expanded its efforts by organizing communities through the formation of youth and women's associations. Recognizing the necessity for a formal standing to advocate for the rights of the marginalized, especially women, DERMA obtained its registration in 1988. Since then, it has actively participated in various development initiatives.
